I was born and bred in the (North of) Ireland… and love the green, the grey and the beauty of our beaches and shores.
I have led and facilitated groups for years. After preaching and speaking and being persuaded to lead naming ceremonies and blessings for friends I have branched into celebrancy and have had the privilege of leading gorgeous ceremonies over the last few years. I am a person of faith so have the flexibility to incorporate faith language into your wedding or to provide a non-religious ceremony. I am associated with Harbour Faith Community in Carrickfergus, a progressive faith community who welcome everyone. I love working with LGBTQIA+ and heteronormative couples.
I work in the NHS in NI as a Senior leader. I work with lots of people behind the scenes to help make the part of health and social care I work in more effective. I’m good with numbers, but I love planning and developing strategy and my passion is helping people work well together and empowering them to improve the services we are delivering. I have a Masters in Healthcare Leadership, a Postgrad Diploma in leading for Quality Improvement and a Postgrad in Executive Coaching.
I have a young son who is the joy of my life (when I’m not cleaning his scribbles off the walls) and we live in Belfast - think red bricks, urban parks and good coffee… although weekends are spent in muddy forests or by the sea.
I care about injustice and want to help change the world for the better. I studied theology and religion as my primary degrees at university and have been a commentator on the BBC for nearly twenty years. You can find me speaking on BBC Thought for the Day via BBC Sounds.
